"Why do I have to be boring for you to take me seriously?"
Tahnia Getson, 2022

Perhaps I took healing my inner child a touch too seriously, but in 2022 I welcome who I am with a full heart. The dichotomy between an adult who loves to dress in vibrant colours, who loves to express their Queerness through their appearance, who loves dinosaurs with their whole heart, and the human who will launch into a conversation about how the spread of misinformation will be the trigger for the downfall of capitalism, or the importance of understanding intersectionality and how marginalization acts in a compounded matter.

Someone once asked me what drives me to wake up every day, and after an excessive amount of thought, I landed on:

I want to make every place I touch a better place for those who follow behind me.
